Safe Play First

Responsible Gambling
at 0n4t

Gambling is entertainment — and at 0n4t, keeping it that way is a priority. This page explains the tools, limits and guidance available to every Pakistani user so you can stay in control, set boundaries that suit your life, and seek help whenever you need it.

Struggling with gambling? Stop playing immediately, contact the support team at your operator and consider self-exclusion. Support contacts are listed further down this page. You are not alone — help is available.

18+

Adults only — strictly 18 years and above, or the higher minimum age required by the operator's license jurisdiction. Underage gambling is illegal. Keep credentials private on shared devices. Local laws in Pakistan may impose additional restrictions. This platform does not provide legal advice on your jurisdiction's requirements.

What Does Responsible Gambling Actually Mean?

Responsible gambling means treating every bet, every spin and every hand as a form of entertainment — the same way you might treat a night out in Lahore, a PSL T20 match in Karachi or a weekend with friends in Islamabad. It means going in with a fixed budget, expecting to spend it, and walking away when it is gone.

Problems begin when gambling stops being entertainment and starts being a way to recover losses, relieve stress or fill time. The shift can be gradual and is often invisible from the inside. That is why 0n4t takes responsible gambling seriously enough to dedicate an entire section of the Platform to it — not because we are required to, but because it is the right thing to do for our users.

The tools described on this page — deposit limits, loss limits, session timers and self-exclusion — exist at the operator level. 0n4t is an information platform and does not directly operate these controls. However, we explain them clearly and in plain English so you know exactly what to ask for, where to find the settings, and when to use them.

The golden rule: Only gamble with money you can afford to lose. If you are funding gambling with savings, borrowing money, or cutting back on essentials like groceries or utilities in Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Multan or anywhere else — that is a signal to stop and seek help.

Safe Play Checklist
1
Set a budget before you start

Decide your maximum spend in PKR — and stick to it regardless of outcomes.

2
Use a session time limit

Set a timer before each session. When it ends, close the platform.

3
Never chase losses

Increasing your bets to win back lost PKR is a proven path to larger losses.

4
Take regular breaks

Step away from the screen every 30–60 minutes to reset your perspective.

5
Talk to someone

If gambling is affecting your mood, relationships or finances, tell someone you trust or contact a support service.

Six Pillars of Safe Play

These are the responsible gambling standards that 0n4t promotes across every guide, glossary entry and operator comparison on the Platform.

Adults Only — 18+

Access to gambling platforms is strictly limited to adults 18 years and above — or the higher minimum required by the operator's license jurisdiction. No exceptions. Underage access is a harm we refuse to normalise.

Deposit & Loss Limits

Most licensed operators offer daily, weekly and monthly deposit and loss caps — expressed in PKR. Set them low, not high. You can always increase a limit after a cooling-off period, which creates a natural check.

Session Time Limits

Session timers alert you when you have been playing for a set duration. Operators are required to offer these by many licensing authorities. Use them — continuous play distorts risk perception and depletes PKR balances faster than expected.

Self-Exclusion

Self-exclusion allows you to voluntarily block yourself from an operator's platform for a set period — typically 6 months, 1 year or permanently. It is the most powerful tool available and can be requested from any responsible operator's support team.

Reality Checks & Cool-offs

Reality-check pop-ups remind you of time played and net losses during a session. Cool-off periods (24 hours to 6 weeks) let you step back without full self-exclusion — useful when you feel your play is edging out of control.

Parental Controls

If younger family members use the same device in Peshawar, Multan or anywhere else, apply parental-control software to restrict access to gambling sites. Keep login credentials private and do not share account access with minors.

Responsible Gambling Tools Explained

Every tool below is available from responsible operators. 0n4t explains them in plain English with PKR examples so you know exactly what you are asking for.

Deposit Limits

A deposit limit caps how much real money you can transfer into your gambling account in a given period. Once you hit the cap, no further deposits are accepted until the period resets.

Daily Limit

Maximum deposit per calendar day.

Example: PKR 2,000 / day
Weekly Limit

Maximum deposit across a rolling 7-day window.

Example: PKR 10,000 / week
Monthly Limit

Maximum deposit across a 30-day period.

Example: PKR 30,000 / month

PKR figures above are illustrative only. Actual limits depend on the specific operator.

Loss Limits

A loss limit automatically pauses play once your net losses in a period reach the threshold you set. Unlike a deposit limit, it accounts for winnings — so it measures actual financial damage more accurately.

Loss limits are particularly useful during cricket betting season when fast-paced PSL T20 markets can see accounts depleted across multiple quick sessions without notice.

Tip: Set your loss limit equal to the maximum amount you are comfortable losing per month in PKR — your true entertainment budget, not an aspirational figure. If you reach it on day 5, the platform stops you.

Session Time Limits & Reality Checks

Session time controls fall into two types. A hard session limit locks your account after a set duration — say, 60 or 90 minutes. A reality check sends a pop-up notification showing your time played and net position at chosen intervals, letting you decide whether to continue.

Both tools break the immersion that makes extended sessions financially damaging. Set them to intervals that feel uncomfortably short — then trust the discomfort.

Self-Exclusion

Self-exclusion is a formal request to an operator to block your account for a minimum defined period. Responsible operators will close your account, return any remaining balance and remove you from marketing lists for the duration.

Common periods: 6 months, 1 year, 3 years or permanent exclusion. Increasing the exclusion period is immediate; decreasing it requires a cooling-off period (typically 7 days) to prevent impulsive reversals.

Important: Self-exclusion applies only to the specific operator you request it from. You will need to contact each operator separately if you use multiple platforms.

When Gambling Becomes a Problem

Problem gambling can develop slowly and is often rationalised away in the early stages. The warning signs below are not a clinical diagnosis — but if several of them feel familiar, it is worth taking a break and speaking to someone.

Recognising a pattern is the hardest step. The fact that you are reading this page already puts you ahead of most.

No shame, no judgement. Problem gambling affects people across all backgrounds — from Karachi to Islamabad, regardless of income or education. It is a recognised condition, not a personal failing.

Chasing losses — increasing bet sizes to recover what was lost
Hiding gambling activity from family or friends
Borrowing money or selling possessions to fund gambling
Feeling anxious, irritable or restless when not gambling
Gambling for longer than intended, session after session
Failed attempts to cut down or stop gambling
Neglecting work, study or family commitments because of gambling
Using money set aside for bills, rent or groceries on gambling
Needing bigger bets to feel the same level of excitement
Gambling as a way to escape problems or low mood

Ask Yourself These Questions

These questions are adapted from widely used responsible gambling self-assessment frameworks. Answer honestly — the only person who sees your answers is you.

If you answer "Yes" to two or more, consider using the limit tools described above or contacting your operator's responsible gambling support team.

This self-assessment is not a clinical diagnostic tool. For a formal evaluation, speak with a qualified mental health professional.

Have you ever gambled more than you planned to in a single session?
Have you ever borrowed or used essential funds to gamble?
Do you feel the need to bet increasing PKR amounts to feel the same thrill?
Have you tried to cut back on gambling and found it difficult?
Has gambling caused arguments, stress or financial worry in your household?
Have you returned to gambling the day after a loss specifically to recover that money?
Do you gamble when feeling low, anxious or stressed — rather than purely for entertainment?
Have you kept the extent of your gambling hidden from someone close to you?

How to Set Limits at Your Operator

Limit-setting processes differ between operators, but the steps below reflect the standard approach on most responsible platforms. If you cannot find these settings, contact the operator's live chat — they are legally required to assist.

Decreasing a limit takes effect immediately on most platforms. Increasing a limit requires a minimum cooling-off period (usually 24–72 hours) to prevent impulsive changes during a losing session.

1
Log in to your operator account

Access your account on the operator's platform — not via a shared device. Your responsible gambling settings are private and account-specific.

2
Navigate to Responsible Gambling or Account Settings

Most operators place limit controls under "Account", "My Profile", "Responsible Gaming" or a similar menu. Look for a shield or heart icon.

3
Select the limit type you want to set

Choose from deposit limit, loss limit, session timer or reality-check frequency. Set values in PKR (or the operator's supported currency).

4
Confirm and save the setting

You will usually receive an email confirmation. Save this for your records. Decreases apply immediately; increases trigger a waiting period.

5
For self-exclusion — contact support directly

Self-exclusion requests should be made via live chat or email with the operator's support team. Confirm the exclusion period and any balance-return procedure in writing.

6
Review your limits periodically

Responsible gambling is an ongoing practice. Revisit your limits every 30 days — especially if your financial situation or playing habits have changed.

Support Resources

If gambling is causing you or someone close to you distress, the following resources offer confidential, non-judgemental support. All contacts below are text-only references.

Your Operator's Support Team

The first and most immediate stop. Every licensed gambling operator is required to offer responsible gambling support. Contact their live chat or email — request self-exclusion, limit setting or a referral to external support.

Available 24/7 on most licensed platforms. Reference your account details and confirm the action in writing.

Gamblers Anonymous

Gamblers Anonymous (GA) is an international fellowship programme based on a 12-step model for people with gambling problems. Meetings are available worldwide, including online formats accessible from Pakistan. GA is free and confidential.

Text-only reference. Find meeting information by searching "Gamblers Anonymous" online. No affiliation with 0n4t.

Mental Health Professionals

Gambling disorder is a recognised condition. Cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT) has strong evidence for effectiveness. In Pakistan, mental health services are available through government hospitals in Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad, and through private practitioners.

Speak with your GP or contact a licensed psychologist or psychiatrist. This is not a medical referral.

Family & Trusted Friends

Talking to someone you trust — a family member, close friend or community elder — can be the first and most effective step. Gambling problems often worsen in isolation. Sharing the problem reduces shame and opens the door to practical support.

BeGambleAware

BeGambleAware is a well-known responsible gambling charity offering free, confidential advice, information and guidance for anyone affected by gambling. Their resources are available online and are widely referenced by international licensed operators.

Text-only reference. Search "BeGambleAware" to access their resources. No affiliation with 0n4t.

0n4t Support Team

Our team can point you toward responsible gambling resources, explain self-exclusion procedures and provide general guidance. We are an information platform, not a counselling service — but we are here, 24/7, in English and Urdu on request.
